Project materials may include photographs, documents, family history, interview recordings, and information about other people. Supply only material you are authorized to share, and contact us before sending highly sensitive information.
Our hosting and communications providers may process technical information such as IP addresses, browser information, access logs, and delivery records to operate and protect the services. If you use an owner sign-in feature, the authentication provider processes information needed to verify access.
How we use information
We use your information to respond to inquiries, arrange consultations, review and quote projects, prepare and deliver books, manage payments and records, provide support, and protect against misuse. Submitting a consultation request does not subscribe you to promotional text messages. Providing a phone number alone does not constitute SMS consent.
Mobile information and text messages
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile numbers, SMS opt-in information, or text-message consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide the information necessary to our messaging service providers, including Dialpad and delivery carriers, solely to operate and deliver communications on our behalf, or disclose information when legally required.
If you separately opt in to text messages from Legacy Built Press, we may use your number and consent record for the communications you agreed to receive, such as consultation arrangements, appointment reminders, and project updates. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to stop text messages, or HELP for assistance. Service providers and other disclosures
We use providers for website hosting, data storage, email, communications, payment processing, and project fulfillment. Information needed for those services may be processed by those providers. Payment services such as Stripe, Square, and Chase process payment details under their own policies; do not enter card numbers or bank credentials into our consultation forms. We may also disclose information when required by law or needed to protect legal rights and safety.
Publication and promotional use of project content, interviews, or testimonials depend on the permissions and rights in your project agreement or separate release. Sending an inquiry does not authorize us to publish your story or testimonial.
Cookies and external services
Hosting and sign-in features may use cookies or similar technologies for operation and security. Our website embeds a YouTube video using its privacy-enhanced domain and links to external services, including payment providers and social platforms. Those services may collect technical information and use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies, particularly when you interact with them. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; blocking them may affect some features.
Retention and security
We keep information as needed to respond to inquiries, fulfill projects, maintain business and consent records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Project-material return and deletion arrangements follow your written agreement; this policy does not create a separate guaranteed deletion schedule. Information is stored using our hosting and service providers, and access to website inquiry records is restricted through owner authentication. No internet transmission or storage system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and requests
You may leave the consultation phone field blank. Email hello@legacybuiltpress.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. Include enough information to identify your inquiry or project, but do not send passwords or payment details. We may verify your identity and retain information needed for legal obligations, existing agreements, or dispute resolution. We will handle requests according to applicable law.
Children and family materials
Our inquiry and purchasing services are intended for adults. A parent, guardian, or authorized adult should manage projects involving children and provide appropriate permissions for their materials. Contact us if you believe a child has submitted personal information without authorization.
