What happens next.

From your first request to the approved book files, here is how we work together. Your written agreement defines your project’s deliverables and terms.

1. Request a scope review.

Choose a book and complete its questionnaire, or request a phone conversation. Submitting a form saves an inquiry; it does not book a call, create a contract or take payment. Keep your submission reference. If the confirmation asks you to email us, include that reference.

2. Confirm the project.

We review the story, intended readers, interview participants, photos and desired timing. We confirm the written scope, final price, included revision rounds, file formats and exclusions. Website prices are starting prices. Printing, shipping and additional work must be specifically included or separately quoted.

3. Complete the agreement and payment.

Production starts after the agreement, required full payment and permissions are complete. Use only payment instructions confirmed for your agreed project. Keep your payment confirmation; submitting a questionnaire or returning from a payment page does not prove payment was received.

Arrange payment after scope approval

4. Prepare your materials and interviews.

Gather names and spellings, important dates, a short timeline, photographs with captions, and relevant documents. Identify each contributor and any restrictions. Tell us when a detail is uncertain or accounts disagree. Obtain permission for supplied material and recording as applicable; we confirm required permissions before using it.

The questionnaire accepts up to 10 files, no more than 10 MB each and 25 MB combined. Accepted types are JPEG, PNG, WebP, PDF, Word documents and plain text. Keep your originals. Ask us before sending additional or sensitive material.

For interviews, think about your purpose, the struggles that changed your direction, and the ordinary moments that show your humanity. You do not need a polished speech. Memory Book projects use a questionnaire; interview allowances depend on the agreed package.

5. Review the draft.

Choose one authorized contact to consolidate feedback. Check names, facts, captions and sensitive passages, then submit one clear set of corrections for each agreed round. Included revision limits differ by package. New chapters, additional interviews or other expanded work require a separate quote and authorization.

Schedules depend on material availability, permissions and review turnaround. Any schedule is estimated; there is no guaranteed completion date.

6. Approve and receive the files.

Your written approval must identify the exact version. Silence is not approval. We deliver the files agreed in your scope and identify what is included. Printed books require separately confirmed specifications and proof approval when applicable. Report missing files or delivery problems to us with your project reference.

Return and deletion arrangements follow your agreement. Ask before sending irreplaceable originals. Your agreement also explains authorship credit and usage rights.
